Training and awareness-raising on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) hazards

Description

ENEA provides for specific educational material for training on CBRN safety to raise awareness of the interested institutions and foster mitigation actions against the threat posed by dual-use chemical, biological, nuclear and radiological materials.

Benefits and Advantages:

  • Increased awareness on CBRN hazards and the actions to undertake to reduce them
  • Awareness on the possible cooperation with and support by the international community

ENEA Services:

  • targeted and flexible training
  • technical support to prevent, monitor and respond to CBRN hazards

ENEA Activities:

  • collaboration on capacity building with the European Commission and other international organisations (IAEA, NATO, etc.)
  • Organization of national and regional meetings to disseminate educational material to university students and CBRN operators
  • technical and scientific activities to prevent, monitor and respond to CBRN hazards

Project “Capacity building and raising awareness for identifying and responding to threats from Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Materials In Sub-Saharan African Countries (PROJECT 13)”, implemented in Eastern and Central Africa (ECA) under the “EU CBRN Risk Mitigation Centre of Excellence (CoE) Initiative.
