Sustainable electrification technologies for rural development
For achieving the objectives:
Goals: 7. Affordable and clean energy, 12. Resp. consumption/production
Sector: Services
Description
ENEA has developed a model allowing to assess the technical and economic feasibility and the dimensioning of rural off-grid, hybrid photovoltaic-diesel electrification systems under rural electrification projects in developing countries. Developed with Excel in a multilanguage format (English, French and Italian), the system is a key instrument to local technicians, who can carry out feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses based on energy, cost, and emission data.
Benefits and Advantages:
- Lower environmental impact
- Transfer of and training on innovative and efficient technologies
ENEA Service:
- design
- consulting
- training
- technical support
- technology transfer
